Woody: A Unique Dog Seeking a Loving Home
Woody has a remarkable story that highlights his resilience and the love he deserves. According to SNARR Animal Rescue, Woody was attacked by another dog when he was just five weeks old and had to fend for himself without veterinary care. After being abandoned by his owner, he survived for six weeks thanks to the kindness of neighbors who brought him food until SNARR came to his rescue.
Woody’s previous family moved away and left him behind, prompting SNARR to step in and provide a better environment for him. Although he has a distinctive appearance due to his injuries, Woody is in good health, and his unique looks only add to his charm.
His foster family quickly fell in love with him for more than just his appearance. When Woody arrived, his adoptive mother, Jamie Bond, was unwell. She recalls, “I had a fever the first day we got Woody, and he sensed something was wrong. He stayed by my side all day, ensuring I felt safe and comforted. He loves to curl up in bed and rest his head on my chest.”
Now eight months old, Woody is full of energy and joy, making up for lost puppy time. He is in search of a forever home where he can thrive.
SNARR is dedicated to finding the right match for Woody. They note that he needs a loving environment where he can receive the care and attention he deserves. Due to his playful nature, a home without cats is essential, as he enjoys chasing them. They believe Woody would do best in a home with female guardians and older dogs (over 10 years old) to help him adjust.
Currently, Woody is living harmoniously with four other dogs and gets along well with children. While he isn’t aggressive, he is a large dog and can be jumpy at times, so a household with larger dogs is preferable.
